Changes

Hello peeps!!!
I'm still kinda tired from yesterday's work but I'm still in the mood to change my blog's layout. This is because last night, Sonia sent me some templates which were wonderful. However they are either too small for my entries or something's not right. So, I continued the search for another which is this current layout. I hope it's comfortable to look at but I'll still update my layout from time to time. Again, I would like to thanks Sonia for the inspiration to change my blog's layout *giggles* She too has changed hers.

Nothing much happened during work but sales was slightly better than previous week. Good news? Maybe not.. this means I have another week or two of work.. maybe? Who knows what the future holds. I had Mel visiting me on Saturday and Pui Yen on Sunday. Thanks babes... I do appreciate you both coming but I was too tired to go around with you both so we just sat and chatted while I was having my break.

This is what me and Dave had for dinner when he came to fetch me from work.

I had Black Bean Chicken Rice (at KLCC 4th food court; Little Wok)

Dave had Mushroom Chicken Rice

My current obsession

Currently I'm addicted to BUYING clothes, yes, I emphasize on the BUYING because it's not only window shopping *sigh* I guess I have a kind of syndrome or abnormality which once I like something then I'll start collecting it till I'm out of ability to do so or rather I'm out of moolah. $_$. As far as I could remember, I have been like this ever since I started collecting. (I know, I've explained it before in this post). I remember when I started collecting stamps as a hobby, I was so engrossed with it until I started looking for envelopes with stamps in every rubbish bins (in my family's offices). Then there was this period when I started to love gardening. This was when my friend named Jonathan and I got chased by an old lady for stealing her Portulaca *lol*. Anyway, those are only a small portion of my collections' stories *eyes rolling*

Although collecting items is a usual habit of mine, I was particularly happy about what I bought yesterday because what I bought yesterday was what I consider a good deal. I'm thrilled with both these tops because I got it for below Rm70. Let me show you what I bought.

This is a red-white-striped collared top which me love

I bought this piece because:
1) I don't have red top (although this is red and white striped)
2) it fits nicely at the abdomen part
3) can be worn on both formal and casual occasions - VERSATILE indeed!! (at least for me)

As for this piece, it's sleeves are quite similar to batwings.

I love this piece because:
1) it's black
2) can be worn as a sweater, top or even a dress since I'm short.
Hey, being short isn't all that bad, is it?
3) It's a knitted material (not sure what you call them)

Since this post is solely on clothes that I bought, I'll post up what I've bought weeks ago when I went out with the girls to Pavvy.

This is a simple gray top from Forever 21

I love this piece because of the bling bling details. In fact, at that moment, I was contemplating on buying this top. Then Mel suggested that if each of the garment we girls were holding then is made in USA, then we'll have to purchase it. Since now that I own it, this piece is made in USA *lol*. Such a way to make decisions.. I'll go broke in no time.

I deliberately refuse to post on what I bought from Topshop last week *grins* because I'm not quite convinced that the 2 tops I bought was pretty enough. So, to avoid criticism, I better not post it because it will break my heart like how Dave did it. *feeling down*

I realise that I don't have many bottoms.. maybe it's time to hunt for it.

Tomorrow...

Tomorrow should be a happy day, at least for me but at the same time, I will have to stand for 8 hours due to my current job *sigh*

This means that I will have to wake up early tomorrow, board the LRT then work for freaking 8 hours with 1 hour of break in between (total of 9 hours) and finally board the COMPACTED-SARDINE-CANNED-LIKE LRT to return home.

Miracle

Here in KL, I'm driving a Perodua Kancil but I always address it as Mini Coop.
For instance:

Handphone beeping
Friend:Hello, Viv. What time are we supposed to meet? Are you driving?
Me: I'll reach your place at around 11am with my mini coop if you don't mind.
Friend: Of course I don't mind. Wait a minute, mini coop?
Me: Yeah.. my mini coop a.k.a kancil, my mini car. *laughing*
Friend: Oh... *probably za dou at this moment*

Guess what? My call has been answered! My Kancil has really turned into a Mini Cooper!! Let me show you some proofs.

Being dreamy and smiling all the way while driving it
Even the picture turned out dreamy a.k.a blurry

Look at the steering with the logo

Getting-out-of-the-car post

The speedometer at night
*Thank you Marcus for the meter information*

Larger view of the speedometer (with flash)

Tachometer and steering view

Front interior view and YES it's a manual like my usual Kancil
Probably the gear box can't be transformed from manual to automatic *sigh*

Full view of my newly transformed mini coop

Trying to post..as if.... *fail* but I still want to post it *:p*
Notice the change of my top.
The pictures above was taken while I had my test drive before going out officially

Trial no. 2
*fail* *:p*

Going into the car also want to post
Look at how the 'S' illuminates.. it's a Cooper-S

Finally, Dave and I with the mini cooper

This car has good pick-up speed but the suspension setting is quite stiff IMO. The clutch is also stiff and the reverse gear was hard to shift *sweats all over after I manage to shift into the reverse*. I still prefer vehicles like Hummer and Mercedes *lol*

By the way, I guess that's all just a dream. When I woke up, my Kancil is still the cute little Kancil but what's left were these pictures in my camera *wink*

This is what occupies me

Now that I'm free, I normally spend my free time playing this online game, Ragnarok Online. The guild I was in has disbanded so we took our last guild members picture together after the WOE (War of Emperium - a war between guilds for castle ownership).

A guild photo, I'm with the pink beanie cap at the second row from the top
Goodbye FE (stands for Forsaken Erythnul)

Guild shot with emoticons (/gg)

Bad luck no more!

Guess what? Three unfortunate incidents happened at the same time in my family, probably some kind of bad omen (time to be religious??). First, it was the drainage cap (don't know what it is called) flew off from the drainage pipe in the toilet of my home at as early as 3am (according to my brother) and then the washing machine can't be turned on. So, I called my dad to report the damage and he himself told me he had the worst and most unfortunate incident occurred back in Sabah which was his refrigerator was accidentally damaged while he chiseled ice blocks off it.

I forgot to take pictures of the ill-conditioned toilet before it go trepaired. It's not even in a condition fit for cockroaches to live in. Let me further explain the condition. On the drainage cap, there were lots of swelled cigarette buds due to long term soaking, toothbrush, hair, dirt, instant noodle, cockroach's feet and dirty water from the floor above. Damn, it's the most disgusting sight I've seen this year (lol) and the wall has black mud-like stain all over.

The plumber was kind enough to call the person who stays above to look at the damage caused by him. The plumber claimed that he must have poke the drainage hole otherwise the cap won't come off just like that. My so call a floor above neighbour denied of course and didn't even apologise. He left with an embarassed look *wtf* I have to pay Rm80 which was consider the least of all the unfortunate occurrence. The cleaning process took me quite some time; the stubborn mud-like stain was hardest to remove as it was already hardened when I decided to clean the toilet.

The price to repair the washing machine is yet to know as I'm still waiting for the electrician to come and quote me the price. As for my dad's case, he bought a new fridge which cost him around Rm13XX.

My mum used to say, unfortunate events or mishaps occurs three times in a row then there'll be no more. I considered these events as three in a row so, bad luck no more!! Haha.. I sure hope the washing machine will be fixed asap.

Work Ain't Easy

Yesterday, I started working as a part-timer on Saturdays and Sundays for 4weeks. I slept so soundly last night when I came back and my legs were tired as hell, especially my feet. This is because the job requires me to stand for 8 hours at least on high heels. I had sore feet and I'm feeling the pain even till today. However, I was glad that my agent told me that I am allowed to wear shoes. *claps*

I'm currently working as a promoter in KLCC and I realized that more tourists/foreigners shop there compare to other malls. Saturday's business was alright but bad on Sunday. I'm not sure if it's because of the current economic/political condition or KLCC itself has lesser shoppers. One thing I realized that it's more quiet and serene compared places like Midvalley or IKEA where it's filled with people.

Lucky me, today Marcus came to look for me. We chatted a while and I finally get to see Meegy (his new pet) together with Judy. Dave also came to wait till I end my shift *smiles* Then, he brought me for dinner, it has been quite some time since we last ate at Madam Kwan's so we decided to have our dinner there. My shift ended way after the breaking of fast so by the time we reached the restaurant, not many customers left, probably all rushing back since tomorrow is a working and schooling day. Despite having few customers, we still have to wait for almost 30 minutes to have our food served. I assume they were chasing the chickens to slaughter for our dishes *lol*

*pssst, first time make-up for my eye, no foundation applied though*
while waiting for the food

My favouraite Sago and Gula Melaka

Waited till I got even more tired... WHERE'S MY FOOD?

Dave ordered Nasi Bojari

I ordered Nasi Lemak *yummy*

The whole meal cost us about RM46++. I love their nasi lemak because of the rice which tasted soft and aromatic. Besides that, I love their Sago gula melaka because the sago does not clump together and we can pour as much gula melaka as we like though too sweet isn't too good for health. I guess I love the taste and aroma of gula melaka on desserts especially sago, cendol and even tau fu far (bean curd).

Since Dave wasn't full, we continue on with Japanese food.

Nah, just kidding. This is actually a fake display food set

This is also unreal

This is fake too which means that we didn't continue on eating after Madam Kwans

Sate Lizard

Sate is actually a South East Asian food where marinated meats were skewered and barbecued in bite-size pieces not forgetting its best friend the irresistible peanut dipping sauce (sate kuah). Hahaha, not everybody enjoys sate with the sauce but for me, I prefer the sauce to the sate.

However, the title is definitely not about lizard meat on a stick. It was actually a lizard I saw while I was eating in a sate shop in Damansara Utama. The lizard was actually hunting for its prey a.k.a. insects. Let me show you the proof:

Mr. Lizard spotted its next prey (definitely not the first)

The insect did not manage to escape from the rapacious lizard

Enough of Mr. Lizard. Lets hop on to the main topic, sate. This sate restaurant was introduced to me by my brother which he tried it on random with his friends. like their sate because it is barbecued to perfection particularly their 'Perut' (stomach) and 'Ikan' (fish) as well as their sate sauce which is filled with peanuts. Oh how I love peanuts!!! I am yet to try their venison, mutton and rabbit meat. Let me show you some of the pictures I manage to snap as pictures paint a thousand words.

Clockwise from top: Perut, Chicken and Beef

Sate sauce, cucumbers and 'nasi impit''
I can just drink the sate sauce like that!

Me, Bread and Sate Dipping

This is one of my favourite way to savour bread besides peanut butter of course *grins*. I love peanut to death! My dad thought me how to eat bread with sate sauce and he mentioned that bread and sate sauce are best mates. He actually eats bread more than sate itself when there's sate sauce. The sauce flavour is enhanced by the plainess of bread and it's irrisistable. Dave tried it once and this time, he purposely went to buy a loaf of bread as he too enjoy eating it in such way. In my opinion, bread taste alot better with the sauce than 'nasi impit'/Ketupat or pressed rice (direct translation).

I remember during my younger days when I was still staying in Sandakan, my family would usually request for extra sauce whenever we pack sate back home for dinner so that we could keep part of the sauce in the refridgerator and eat it with bread for lunch the next day. The sauce still taste great even when it's cold. I miss Sandakan's sate, they have the most delicious sate sauce I've ever tasted.

Overall, the price was reasonable (Rm17.00 for 5 Perut, 5 Beef and 10 Chicken + 2 drinks + 2 plates of nasi impit) and taste wise was not bad in my opinion. Worth coming back for!

The verdict

I ended up heading to Mid Valley's Topshop and also I spent more than the cash voucher I got for my birthday few months ago *Sweats* Well, the reason why and how I finally made this decision was all credited to my dear bf. So, after posting the previous entry, I drove to Mid Valley and I was caught up in a minor jam just for 2 pieces of top.

Caught in jam and still manage to take a picture, ignoring the police in front of me
*Evil laughter*

Besides that, I manage to wait till I meet Pui Yen which she had finished her ballet exam. I really wish her all the best and score well. We're supposed to get a premium bag each but Topshop ran out of it *sobs*. Anyway, now that I've used up the cash vouchers.. no more worries.

I have to wrap up now as I'll be having a briefing in Kelana Jaya soon. Tata~~

Current Snippets

I'll be back! pretty soon...
