D's Victourious moments

Last 2 weeks ago (13th and 14th Dec), Dave participated in a badminton competition at Wangsa Maju. He and his team won 1st place. Congratulations dear!!

Notice the delay of this post??? It's due to my laziness and also work which causes me to be lazy.. ok ok I know I know, no more procrastinations. There are still so many events and happenings I would I to post.. I'll try to seek more time!

Here are some snapshots I got during his game and also during the prize giving ceremony:

During the game

Starting a shot

Dave receiving his GOLD medal

Dave and his team together with some politicians

Dave and one of the sponsors.
This competition was organized by MCA and Dave was involved in the organizing part as well.
Once again, congratulations to all that have participated in the competition!

After a long break from blogging

Hello peeps!!
Firstly, MERRY CHRISTMAS and Happy New Year to all!! May your holidays are filled with joy, laughter and prosperity ^^.

I've been busy of late.. working around the clock (without claiming OT), don't want to further elaborate on that matter coz' it's a SAD CASE .. Not worth explaining. So, I pampered myself today.. I went bowling at Selayang Mall and also shopping at Pavilion. Actually I went to Pavvy with the intention to try out new food at the food court. However, I ended up buying 2 items.

Bowling was great (to me at least).. I played an average of 183 (200 + 196 + 155 + 183). The third game was slightly lower due to the long waiting time for the alley to fix the short circuit problem. Anyway, was happy that bowling went well.

Then, at Pavvy, I had Little Taiwan's "Three Treasure Beef Noodle". Taste was ok but Dave rejected it. It was quite filling and this bowl cost me RM12.90. I guess I should have ordered the rice instead. Dave got himself claypot chicken rice but I didn't manage to capture snapshot of it. According to Dave, the claypot rice doesn't taste good as well. Probably too much burnt rice.

These are the items I purchased at Pavvy:

I bought this piece for Dave, a long sleeved top from cK.
Since they are having sales, so I thought of getting him something *wink*

I ended up getting this piece bag.

Actually I was hunting for a bag so that I could bring to work since the current bag I'm using is tearing up. Dave chose a smaller white bag which I think it's sweet. However, I felt insecure with the material. So I got a more dear piece which leaves us both a hole in our pockets. It's funny how I get another bag without first planning it from Pavvy AGAIN!.

Dave have been asking me to clear off my current old bag and use this new bag to work tomorrow. I'll have to reconsider using this bag for working purposes. Nobody would want to stain a nice baggy right? LOL.

Got to sign off for now. Working tomorrow.. ya ya.. working on PUBLIC HOLIDAYS.. so pathetic right? *sigh* life..

P/S: I hope PAY DAY is within these 3 days!! I already have something in mind with the voucher I got today!!

Monotonous Mondays

Actually, that's what revolves around me not only on Monday but everyday.
Wake up, work, lunch, work, dinner, face the computer, sleep and another cycle.

Christmas is just around the corner and I have nothing in mind yet.
My colleagues are taking leaves except me. It seems like there's no hope for me in getting an extra day off. However, taking a day off serves no purpose as I have no plans. *lol*

*Edited*

P/S: Pay day is coming soon *giggling*

I wish I could hug you everyday and get a kiss from you everyday like when I was young before leaving to school.

Most of all, Ma, I wish you well. Till we meet again!

Marche

Last night, Dave brought me to Marche for dinner to celebrate his victory in the badminton tournament. Initially, he wanted to bring me to TGI Fridays, however Marche's current promotion attracted us. We bought Marche's member card for RM 60 with a pre-loaded value of RM 70. Besides that, we do have a cup of coffee free, not only for the first time but each time we visit Marche with/without purchase.

We made a mistake by ordering two sets of chicken. We should have tried others instead.
I spotted their grilled salmon and their thin crust pizza..probably next time.

P/s Pictures will be uploaded later!

My latest ADD ONS to my collection

Hehehe, this post is more for self-satisfaction. My latest collection of stickers, particularly Sandylions.

Since young, I love Sandylion stickers alot but living in a small town restricted me from buying them. However, now I have the chance to get them and I recently got 3 *laughing*

Left: Dental stickers (not Sandylion)
The remaining are Sandylion stickers

My latest collection of Sandylion stickers

This is Sandylion's prismatic type of sticker which has glittery effects.
I bought snowman in occassion of the Christmas season.

This is a Fuzzy type which has a velvet material.
This type is my favourite.

This is a kormekote type.
Notice the circle on the bottom right-hand corner?
I've circled it to show the missing head (I assure you no photoshop)

This is a similar shot but different angle.
The missing head was due to the flash and angle.
I didn't notice till I posted it.

SALES....or no SALES?

In my opinion, the current saving sales isn't a REAL saving sales..

Why?

Let me elaborate a lil'
1) To save is not to buy
There are certain people who will buy EXTRA whenever they see the word SALES.
Worse, some will even buy unnecessary items for the sake of SALES.
So, in such cases, certain people SPEND more during SALES and not SAVE more (Which includes me *wink*)

2) Misleading term
I've noticed certain outlets/shops/boutiques do not really have their proclaimed "FURTHER REDUCTION" or "SALES" as certain items were sold at such price all year round.
Again, people will be mislead into buying items of such.

3) Advantage taken
Several shops that I always go use this saving sales period to clear off their REALLY OLD stocks at a fair price. This is of course if you don't mind buying them.
Before this, the sales items are better than the current SAVINGS SALES. What I really mean is, SALES items before the current SAVINGS SALES are in larger quantity/variety.
As for me, I prefer their NORMAL SALES to the now Malaysia Savings Sales because I get to perhaps purchase a better and newer item.

However, being a shopaholic, I can't resist the temptation whether or not there's SALES or NO SALES =).

Holidays on the last month of the year

Being the last month of the year, there'll be public holidays and this year we have extras. (although not all are gazetted public holidays). We'll have Hari Raya Haji this coming Monday, 8th December followed by Sultan Selangor's birthday which on the 11th December then Christmas, 25th and Awal Muharram on the 29th December. Not forgeting 1st January 2009 as well.

However, of all the mentioned public holidays, I only have Christmas, New Year and Sultan Selangor's birthday as non-working days where as the rest is half day. Sad sad...

What do I have to face everyday during work? Let me list it down:
1) blood samples
2) urine samples
3) sysmex and ESR machines
4) microscope and slides
5) histograms
6) people at work
7) wastes

So far, people at my workplace are nice people. I hope I'll continue to maintain a good relationship with all of them.

Sad

Yesterday wasn't a good day for me

I hope today will be a better day..

I'll be heading out in a while to open a bank account which I've delayed so many times.. *all the excuses* My colleagues kept prompting me to open a bank account so that I can receive this month's pay though it's just a few days.
I wonder how much will I receive this month?

First Outing after New Haircut

Finally I get to load pics of my new haircut. Warning!! *NO LAUGHING ALLOWED*
This was before I had my hair cut:

I was in Dave's car on my way to the saloon
Just finish work, a bit tired. It's a good thing I felt tired else I may have changed my mind in cutting my hair
Lol

So, after my haircut, I went straight to Dave's relative house for her house warming party.

I heard that this piece of art cost a lot

This was taken at the 3rd floor. I love the mirror!!

I love the lights, it's positioned at the stairway.

I've always liked Ikea, Ikano and the Curve's Christmas decoration. So, I went there earlier just now to see what's the deco like this year. IMO, it was better than before. Our first stop was Ikano and here are the pics.:

Dave at the fireplace

Me and Dave - White Christmas at Ikano

Hello Snowman!!

At the Street of Curve

Also along the street
A very colourful Christmas deco here

Dave and I together with Marche ^^ as the background

The inner view of Curve
I like their decoration this year, let me tell you why...

1) A very tall X'mas tree

2) Teddy~ and of also other cute animals of course
T.T only get to take this cutie coz others were crowded with people

3) Reindeers

4) Elf and flowers!

More elves
Not just 1 but there's another above - left side of the Christmas tree

5) and a VERY VERY HUGE horsie?

6) Not forgetting the crowds, we have to fight to take pictures

Love the lighting and the colour

Overall, I have most positive feedback regarding my new haircut. Anyway, good or no good, I can't change it. At least I feel so light now!!! I guess I'm a pound lighter ^^ JK.

Now I have to wait for another 2 days so that I can wash my hair. The stuff they use on my hair really STINKS!!! I hope no one comes near me these 2 days. LOL

P/S: Can't wait till Christmas!! Ho~ Ho~ Ho~

Edited: Had 4 games of bowling this afternoon, scored an average of 160 (163 + 172 + 170 + 138). The last game was a LOUSY stupid game.. 3 consecutive splits and another 1 at the end.

Happy Birthday Sonia

This post is dedicated to you my dear Sonia a.k.a. my chu yuk.

I Need Memory

I'm not sure if it's my age but I find it hard to remember the ranges I need for my new job. It's like studying again and I need to remember the standards provided to me in order for me to do my work.

It could be also due to pressure. I felt under pressure whenever my mentors are supervising me or keeping an eye on me especially after knowing that I'm under EXTRA surveillance because of some silly request I made. Well, this will definitely be a challenge for me as I'm finding hard to remember the ranges.

Back to my studies/memorizing for now!

Back to work

As usual, Dave will bring me out on Sundays and we'll savour something we like. We decided on going somewhere near to my home which was Sunway Pyramid as I'll be working early tomorrow. We had our dinner at Ajisen Ramen. Mel brought me here once for lunch and I love it. So I brought Dave to try out this place and he like it too.

This was what we had earlier:

Beef Teriyaki set
Side dish (above this set): Chicken Karaage which is Dave's favourite.
He never miss that dish if he eats at Ajisen

Chicken Teriyaki set
Similar to the Beef Teriyaki set
Served together with a soup (miso), 2 pieces of Chicken Karaage, 2 pieces of Gyoza, delicious salad and a portion of rice

We didn't have enough despite there's a side dish. So, we ordered the Chicken Katsu set.
This set is served with Gyozas and Tofu.
Just kidding.. we only had the beef and chicken teriyaki set earlier.
This picture was taken fromt he previous visit.

Price ranging from Rm12 ++ up to Rm40++ depending on what type of set. I am yet to try their ala carte dishes (noodles, rice, duck etc). Weird thing is, I think this restaurant is famous for its ramen but I never order it *LOL* Next time probably.

After dinner, we went window shopping today as I'm already broke as a beggar this time around. We manage to take some Christmas decoration snapshop.
The colourful Christmas decos

Me with the colourful ornaments

Dave and I
I didn't manage to get a shot of the decos nicely because there were too many people fighting to take snaps shots around the decos *wtf*
Again, Next Time Perhaps.

P/S: I hope I'll be off this Christmas, else Christmas will never be the same again =(

Taking a break

Currently, my job doesn't need me to work on Sundays and I sure hope I won't have to in the future *fingers crossed*. Since today is a rest day for me, I went bowling at Selayang Mall. Previously, I don't quite like Selayang Mall however when I know they have a bowling alley there, I love that place instantly *grins*. How many place have both badminton courts and a bowling alley? As usual, Dave plays badminton there on Sundays so I followed him.

The bowling alley wasn't bad. It uses LCD screens for score display and cold enough unlike some other bowling alleys in KL *sweats*. The only thing I would complain is the price of the game; Rm5.50 per game. Today, I played 4 games and I had an average of 176.75 (160, 154, 170 and 223). It's satisfaction that I obtained after the games.

After our games, Dave and I had the cheapest lunch which was a RM0.99 hot dog each. It was surprisingly delicious and fresh. The bun was soft, the vege was fresh and together with generous toppings of mayo and chili sauce. Besides that, I bought myself a cute little pen.. no pictures for now as my cable is not with me now, later perhaps.

1st Day of Work

Today, I was so reluctant to get out of bed when my alarm rang. I kept snoozing it as I don't want to really fall into deep sleep or should I say deep shit. Being late for late isn't my choice not especially on the first day. Off I went to shower and changed into a semi formal attire; black top and black pants with a belt.

As I drove to work, the traffic was smooth, probably it's due to the school holidays. I got a parking in front of my work place, paid the parking then I went to start my job. First day is already so busy. However, colleagues are nice people and they taught me a lot of stuff as most of the jobs are new to me. I forgot to take picture of what I'm wearing today. Nevermind.. happiest thing in the world about my job now is that I can wear CASUAL~~~ hahaha.. jeans, slippers, simple tops will do.. I'm so relieved, I can even wear sport shoes, how nice?!

It's still too early to judge. This job is a routine job, I guess I'm alright with it. However, I'm not really satisfied with the pay. Nothing is perfect anyway, most jobs in my line requires traveling so I am left with not many options.

Now that I'm taking up this job, my next list of things to do will be:
1) open a bank account (as required by the company)
2) get a monthly parking pass
3) get my hair done
4) memorize some figures and routines
5) get confirmed ASAP so that I will have a raise =)

Look Out Point

Look out point is actually a location at Ampang where we can view KL city clearly especially at night with the lights from sky scrappers. There are a few restaurants there for visitors as well and I've been here years before this and on several occasions for Western Food. Look Out Point has changed since the last time I've been there. They use to provide free parking but now, we have to pay RM2 for a parking and we need to walk our way up there. Probably it's because they have more visitors now. The most impressive point out there is the view. We can dine while facing the view of KL city.

The food there is HALAL and tastes alright plus the price is reasonable. I prefer to order their lamb chops because I think it's more worth the price compared to other dishes. Besides western food, they do serve local food and some Thai cuisines.

Here's some pictures that I've taken from the last visit:

The restaurant

Dave

Huge Watermelon juice

Dave's choice - Chicken chop special

My choice of the day - Lamb Chop

I love the dim lighting

Dave and I - KL city view behind us
However, the picture is lousy because it's a self snap shop.
We took this in a hurry because we were kind of shy taking pics there.

Now that parking near/next to the restaurant is rare , we have to park at the foot of the hill and climb flights of stairs before eating which is a good thing where we have to WORK for our food - Balance out the calories intake *^^* You know, burn some gain some!! Besides Look Out Point Restaurant, now they also have Gasoline Cafe next to it and a mamak stall at the foot of the hill. One more thing... for those afraid of cold, do bring along a sweater, jacket or scarf. It can be cold at times.

Current Snippets

I'll be back! pretty soon...
