First Outing after New Haircut

Finally I get to load pics of my new haircut. Warning!! *NO LAUGHING ALLOWED*
This was before I had my hair cut:

I was in Dave's car on my way to the saloon
Just finish work, a bit tired. It's a good thing I felt tired else I may have changed my mind in cutting my hair
Lol

So, after my haircut, I went straight to Dave's relative house for her house warming party.

I heard that this piece of art cost a lot

This was taken at the 3rd floor. I love the mirror!!

I love the lights, it's positioned at the stairway.

I've always liked Ikea, Ikano and the Curve's Christmas decoration. So, I went there earlier just now to see what's the deco like this year. IMO, it was better than before. Our first stop was Ikano and here are the pics.:

Hello Snowman!!

At the Street of Curve

Also along the street
A very colourful Christmas deco here

The inner view of Curve
I like their decoration this year, let me tell you why...

1) A very tall X'mas tree

2) Teddy~ and of also other cute animals of course
T.T only get to take this cutie coz others were crowded with people

3) Reindeers

4) Elf and flowers!

More elves
Not just 1 but there's another above - left side of the Christmas tree

5) and a VERY VERY HUGE horsie?

6) Not forgetting the crowds, we have to fight to take pictures

Love the lighting and the colour

Overall, I have most positive feedback regarding my new haircut. Anyway, good or no good, I can't change it. At least I feel so light now!!! I guess I'm a pound lighter ^^ JK.

Now I have to wait for another 2 days so that I can wash my hair. The stuff they use on my hair really STINKS!!! I hope no one comes near me these 2 days. LOL

P/S: Can't wait till Christmas!! Ho~ Ho~ Ho~

Edited: Had 4 games of bowling this afternoon, scored an average of 160 (163 + 172 + 170 + 138). The last game was a LOUSY stupid game.. 3 consecutive splits and another 1 at the end.

Happy Birthday Sonia

I Need Memory

I'm not sure if it's my age but I find it hard to remember the ranges I need for my new job. It's like studying again and I need to remember the standards provided to me in order for me to do my work.

It could be also due to pressure. I felt under pressure whenever my mentors are supervising me or keeping an eye on me especially after knowing that I'm under EXTRA surveillance because of some silly request I made. Well, this will definitely be a challenge for me as I'm finding hard to remember the ranges.

Back to my studies/memorizing for now!

Back to work

As usual, Dave will bring me out on Sundays and we'll savour something we like. We decided on going somewhere near to my home which was Sunway Pyramid as I'll be working early tomorrow. We had our dinner at Ajisen Ramen. Mel brought me here once for lunch and I love it. So I brought Dave to try out this place and he like it too.

This was what we had earlier:

Beef Teriyaki set
Side dish (above this set): Chicken Karaage which is Dave's favourite.
He never miss that dish if he eats at Ajisen

Chicken Teriyaki set
Similar to the Beef Teriyaki set
Served together with a soup (miso), 2 pieces of Chicken Karaage, 2 pieces of Gyoza, delicious salad and a portion of rice

We didn't have enough despite there's a side dish. So, we ordered the Chicken Katsu set.
This set is served with Gyozas and Tofu.
Just kidding.. we only had the beef and chicken teriyaki set earlier.
This picture was taken fromt he previous visit.

Price ranging from Rm12 ++ up to Rm40++ depending on what type of set. I am yet to try their ala carte dishes (noodles, rice, duck etc). Weird thing is, I think this restaurant is famous for its ramen but I never order it *LOL* Next time probably.

After dinner, we went window shopping today as I'm already broke as a beggar this time around. We manage to take some Christmas decoration snapshop.
The colourful Christmas decos

Me with the colourful ornaments

Dave and I
I didn't manage to get a shot of the decos nicely because there were too many people fighting to take snaps shots around the decos *wtf*
Again, Next Time Perhaps.

P/S: I hope I'll be off this Christmas, else Christmas will never be the same again =(

Taking a break

Currently, my job doesn't need me to work on Sundays and I sure hope I won't have to in the future *fingers crossed*. Since today is a rest day for me, I went bowling at Selayang Mall. Previously, I don't quite like Selayang Mall however when I know they have a bowling alley there, I love that place instantly *grins*. How many place have both badminton courts and a bowling alley? As usual, Dave plays badminton there on Sundays so I followed him.

The bowling alley wasn't bad. It uses LCD screens for score display and cold enough unlike some other bowling alleys in KL *sweats*. The only thing I would complain is the price of the game; Rm5.50 per game. Today, I played 4 games and I had an average of 176.75 (160, 154, 170 and 223). It's satisfaction that I obtained after the games.

After our games, Dave and I had the cheapest lunch which was a RM0.99 hot dog each. It was surprisingly delicious and fresh. The bun was soft, the vege was fresh and together with generous toppings of mayo and chili sauce. Besides that, I bought myself a cute little pen.. no pictures for now as my cable is not with me now, later perhaps.

1st Day of Work

Today, I was so reluctant to get out of bed when my alarm rang. I kept snoozing it as I don't want to really fall into deep sleep or should I say deep shit. Being late for late isn't my choice not especially on the first day. Off I went to shower and changed into a semi formal attire; black top and black pants with a belt.

As I drove to work, the traffic was smooth, probably it's due to the school holidays. I got a parking in front of my work place, paid the parking then I went to start my job. First day is already so busy. However, colleagues are nice people and they taught me a lot of stuff as most of the jobs are new to me. I forgot to take picture of what I'm wearing today. Nevermind.. happiest thing in the world about my job now is that I can wear CASUAL~~~ hahaha.. jeans, slippers, simple tops will do.. I'm so relieved, I can even wear sport shoes, how nice?!

It's still too early to judge. This job is a routine job, I guess I'm alright with it. However, I'm not really satisfied with the pay. Nothing is perfect anyway, most jobs in my line requires traveling so I am left with not many options.

Now that I'm taking up this job, my next list of things to do will be:
1) open a bank account (as required by the company)
2) get a monthly parking pass
3) get my hair done
4) memorize some figures and routines
5) get confirmed ASAP so that I will have a raise =)

Look Out Point

Look out point is actually a location at Ampang where we can view KL city clearly especially at night with the lights from sky scrappers. There are a few restaurants there for visitors as well and I've been here years before this and on several occasions for Western Food. Look Out Point has changed since the last time I've been there. They use to provide free parking but now, we have to pay RM2 for a parking and we need to walk our way up there. Probably it's because they have more visitors now. The most impressive point out there is the view. We can dine while facing the view of KL city.

The food there is HALAL and tastes alright plus the price is reasonable. I prefer to order their lamb chops because I think it's more worth the price compared to other dishes. Besides western food, they do serve local food and some Thai cuisines.

Here's some pictures that I've taken from the last visit:

The restaurant

Dave

Huge Watermelon juice

Dave's choice - Chicken chop special

My choice of the day - Lamb Chop

I love the dim lighting

Dave and I - KL city view behind us
However, the picture is lousy because it's a self snap shop.
We took this in a hurry because we were kind of shy taking pics there.

Now that parking near/next to the restaurant is rare , we have to park at the foot of the hill and climb flights of stairs before eating which is a good thing where we have to WORK for our food - Balance out the calories intake *^^* You know, burn some gain some!! Besides Look Out Point Restaurant, now they also have Gasoline Cafe next to it and a mamak stall at the foot of the hill. One more thing... for those afraid of cold, do bring along a sweater, jacket or scarf. It can be cold at times.

Not a Bad Day After All

Job searching doesn't seem so bad after all. I got response from most of my applications and so far I got response from all the interviews I've attended.

I've accepted an offer and will start work very soon. I hope everything goes fine *fingers crossed* I'm now relieved as I'm wanted now!! Yes.. I won't be jobless pretty soon. I'll do my best in my work..I promise

I should be happy but part of me is sad... *lol* probably I'll miss my freedom, my time with Dave and also the time I have to laze around. The feeling is weird, awkward and different.. I need to get over this.. I SHOULD BE PURELY HAPPY.. time for McD fries.

Batting

Yesterday I went out with both Mel and her niece, Megan. We had fun although it's a short outing. The kid went back thinking I really wore a Spongebob Squarepants and Patrick Starfish panty. I have to thank Mel for that. It's because Mel told her my so call "SECRET" to her niece so that she can use the child to threaten me into doing something for her. (Tsk Tsk TskOF COURSE I did not wear a spongebob and Patrick yellow panty. It's the yellow pants that I wore with a long top that made the child thought I wore a yellow panty with spongebob and Patrick hidden somewhere within my pants.

Seeing her grow reminds me I've aged. Lol. Anyway, because of her, I get to experience my first time batting. Here goes the pics.

Intructions to operate the machine

The machine

I look absurd in the headgear but that's what I should wear for the game.

Me.. I know I know, what I wore wasn't suitable for batting. It's a last minute decision.
That's the pair of yellow pants I meant

Mel, posting before the fun started.
She was the hero of the day with the most hits.

Cute little Megan with her bat, so anxious and happy

It was a fun experience and it's definitely harder than I thought. The bat was quite heavy which it felt like SLOW MOTION when I tried to hit the ball. Only at my second attempt (second token) that I got a few hits and it's because Mel gave me some useful tips. To touch the ball with your bet is one thing, hitting it away is another. It's a hard game for me. I guess I need stronger arms, shoulders, wrists and it's totally different from bowling. Looking forward to more games!!

Mirror Mirror...

When should I loose my tresses?

Day by day, when I have the chance to glance myself at the mirror, I would pull up my hair to have a glimpse of myself having short hair. Sometimes it excites me, sometimes it scares me. Tell me what to do, oh Mirror Mirror? Shall I loose it all or shall I retain my tresses?

I better cut it before I change my mind... oh when oh when..

Psst.. I used to have my hair in LUMPS..Why do I say so? Let me tell you a story. I remembered a friend of mine, having not met for a year or two and when we finally did, the first thing she said was (while pointing to my head) "Oh Vivian, your hair style never changes, it looks like a lump, you never change!!" while she was giggling all the way. I felt embarrassed and insulted.

Things change after that. First, I had long straight hair, well it was also for quite some time and it's because I prefer straight hair. Then I changed my hairstyle to something different, I had it curled and highlighted in RED. A year later, I trimmed my hair much shorter and had it straightened. Almost a year now, I guess I'm going to have my hair short unless I change my mind AGAIN.. *LOL* My mind does changes easily.....

I am happy~~

because I got good news regarding my job search..and
because I got something I wish a person will like (it's a secret)..and
because I have a plan, not mischievous but I'm liking it ..and
because I am listening to my favourite list of musics.. *lol* and
because part of my burden/trouble was lifted

Actually, I've been bad today. I've rejected a job offer. I did so not because I'm choosy but the job scope isn't too suitable for me, especially coming from the East side of Malaysia. I only knew the real thing only after the interview. Part of me was glad when the company called me up telling me I was accepted. However, I'm feeling so bad that I'm quiet for today.

All this while, I don't like to reject people and the simplest NO is hard to come out from my mouth. Probably it's because of the environment that I was brought up in. I know how it feels to be rejected and I know what it's like when you needed help most but nobody is able to lend you a hand. I know it somehow. It's high time I have to stand up and do what I have to.

Actually, Mel told me regarding this matter the other day, after my job interview, when we met up at Pavvy. She told me a very important fact that I explain too much, especially when I have to reject or say NO to others. Well, come to think about it, she's not wrong. I don't directly reject or say NO to others but I will keep explaining about this and that till that someone will get the idea that I actually couldn't help/do something/go somewhere. *LOL* I guess I flood people with too many reasons.

So, today I did the right thing. I didn't give people lots of unnecessary explanations. Firstly, I asked the company if they could approve my request/conditions. When they say NO I then apologised and rejected the offer. After I hung up the call, I had a funny feeling, I felt weird,
I'm not used to this, I wasn't actually sure if I was down? or glad? or sad? or disappointed? that I became quiet the whole day. Anyway, burden's lifted and that's all that matters. I faced my problem(s) and I didn't ran away. *smiling like a kid getting praised*

Yesterday.....many first times

Let me announce before your mind sways elsewhere.

Firstly, I had my first job interview yesterday. It was a good experience and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. However, the job scares me. So, that brings me the first experience of job interview.

Then, I applied my newly bought gel eyeliner yesterday. Although it wasn't a success, it's still my first time.

Also, I had my first time taking so many pictures with many different themes of Christmas trees. After my job interview, I went to Pavvy to join the girls for shopping and that was where I took the pictures. Although it's more than a month before Christmas but we're feeling the Christmassy Mood coming already~~ We Wish You A Merry Christmas~~

Last night was my first time dining with Dave in Carl's Junior Mid Valley Megamall. We were too hungry that we didn't take any snapshots of the food. We had Mushroom Burger, fries, onion rings and bottomless drinks. It cost us about RM34.

There were so many to experience in one day. I was exhausted during the night that I fell asleep in front of my monitor before going into deep slumber.

Current Snippets

I'll be back! pretty soon...
