Bravo to our badminton player Lee Chong Wei

It is quite a waste that Lee Chong Wei didn't manage a gold. Nevertheless, he got a silver in the badminton men's single event in this Beijing 2008 Olympic. For the past two Olympics (Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004), Malaysia scored nothing. Malaysia has been returning home without any medals but this time around, we have at least a silver. It breaks my heart to witness the game knowing that the gold was furthering away from Malaysia. However, as a consolation, we now have a silver which is better than nothing. :) Heartiest congratulations to our Malaysian badminton player! Good job to all those who had also participated in the various events/games.

Speaking of Olympics, I still don't know why bowling is not included into the Olympic games. It's so sad to see our squash players (especially Nicole David) and our Malaysian bowlers unable to participate in this Olympics knowing that they have chance and hope in achieving good results and may come home with medals. I was curious to find out why bowling isn't in the Olympics so I surf the net a lil' and here are some sites that I found regarding on this issue:
1) http://www.cleveland.com/olympics/index.ssf/2008/08/well_knock_me_down_theres_no_o.html
2) http://www.bowl.com/articleView.aspx?i=12344&f=1
3) http://olympics.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/06/18/david-wallechinsky-gives-his-answers-to-readers-questions-part-ii/ (there is a small part on "why isn't bowling in the summer Olympics")
Is it due to lack of spectators? lack of players? lack of sponsors? lack of participating countries? Bowling is not the only game questioned, there are baseball and softball too.

It's been a tiring day for me because I've spent hours facing the computer on some ONLINE GAMES. :)
Ciao for now~~!!
