Beef Noodles

What I'm going to post is something I've conveniently forgotten and the pictures I am about to post were kept in my folders for ages. It's a place where I went to have beef noodles. It's the "Famous Ngau Kee Noodles" along Jalan Alor (correct me if I'm wrong). As far as I'm concern, this stall opens at night and past midnight.

Ngau Kee

Menu

Beef noodle (soup)
(Mix; consist of meat balls, minced meat, tripe and slices of meat)

Dry version of beef noodle
Left: Meat and balls in soup
Right : Noodle with generous minced meat toppings

To be matched with the noodles

Actually, I find it hard to get good beef noodles especially here in KL which I believe due to religious reason. However, I only manage to try out this particular stall. The food here was ok but I still prefer Sabah's beef noodle.

Time flies

I've abandoned my blog for more than a month now. There were some things that I need to worry about. However, nothing serious. I'll make this post as short as possible, after all, there were still a lot going on during my non-presence. =)

First things first (my high school motto), my dear got me or rather us a new camera. Nothing big just something fancy..you know what I mean =).

Our new camera

with its new devil red casing ^^

Then, we also managed to take time outs to try out new food.

Firstly, Popeye's Louisiana Kitchen - Chicken and Seafood at Taman Tun Dr. Ismail
This is the Popeye's Louisiana Kitchen seafood set
Hmm.. eaten this quite sometime ago.. forgotten what it's called
Anyways, this set consist of fish strips and succulent prawns. The prawns were yummy.
Oh ya...not forgetting the "Biscuit" which I find it a bit too salty to my liking.

This is their Chicken Rice Bowl.
I didn't know there was lots beans.. I guess it's kidney beans (lazy to find out)
I don't like this dish though.

Side orders: Coleslaw and Mashed potato
I love their mashed potato somehow it tasted delicious on my tastebuds *shy*

We also tried out one of our very own country's favourite, the nasi lemak. We spotted this Nasi Lemak Antarabangsa Kampung Baru at Taman Melati.

The special Air Bandung Soda
It tasted like Fanta Merah Ice. However, something pleasant to consume =)

The common Ice Lemon Tea

Nasi Lemak with fried egg

This plate is with fried Chicken a.k.a ayam goreng berempah
The food was so so.. I still prefer Nasi Lemak sold in stalls where its cheaper and tastier.

The next destination was Thai Express at The Curve. This wasn't actually my first visit however, I noticed they changed their menu - No more pineapple colada which me and my friend Mel had it during our visit. What a waste..

Shrimp paste a.k.a Belacan fried rice.

Obviously ordered by him

This is what I ordered, Green curry (chicken) served with plain rice.
I still prefer the older version of Thai Express. Somehow I think they changed their chef or management.

Last but not least, just last Sunday, we chose The Manhattan Fish Market (the Curve) mainly because of their current offer "1 Xtra Fish FREE". We had our stomaches filled in no time. This offer is valid for their Fish N Chips in either swordfish or Pacific dory. Dave and I both took 1 each and I still prefer the Pacific
Dory as it's more tender and finer in texture.

My Fish n Chips or rather Fish n Garlic Rice simply because I prefer garlic rice.

Something else Red besides the camera ^^. Spotted this while at Pavilion.

Satisfaction!

Hohoho.. I can't remember when was the last time I have such satisfaction in bowling so please let me brag it here.

I think I'm improving although slow but towards the right path. Today, I hit an average of 179 (173 + 170 + 160 + 216). However, I'm tired .. probably I had a rough week, that's why I'm feeling slightly more tired than previous weeks.

Recently, I realised I've been eating more than I usually did. Thanks to my friends' and my dear's observation *hehehe*. I hope it's just temporary and I have to really take care of my diet.

How I spend Valentine!

Yet another long delay! You wouldn't believe what happened for the past 2 days! My workplace had a power cut for more than 24hours since the 17th and I worked for more than 13hours. Me and some of my colleagues have swollen-overworked-like eyes. The power supply went off when the cable was accidentally slitted while digging a hole in front of my workplace on the 17th evening. Having no electricity supply, we had to move some of the instruments and equipments to the company's hostel to run the samples. It was messy but still better than DOING NOTHING!. Anyway, I'm grateful it's over *fingers crossed* else we'll have to experience another spell of sweaty, dark and discomfort of at least 8hours.

Well, the purpose of this post is to post a lil' about on what me and Dave did/went on Valentine's Day which was a Saturday. As usual, I'll have to work half day on Saturdays and so I did. After work, Dave brought me to Mid Valley to try the famous honey glazed pork at Canton-i. Too bad, i didn't try their famous Egg Tarts which was later told by one of my colleagues. To make long story short, let me show you some pictures.

Deep fried durian pancake

Service was alright despite having overloading amount of customers. Overall, the food was average.

After the meal, we strolled around Mid Valley and spotted Forever Friends bear. Then we headed to the Lego shop.

After that, we headed to the Gardens and this was where I first see a shop selling LEGO solely.

We didn't buy anything but we window shopped. The verdict? I've enjoyed my Valentine with Dave and that's all it matters, isn't it?

My collections : Part II

Procrastinations!!! That's what I have to say about my delay in blogging. Forgive me for I have been LAZY ever since after Chinese New Year! Today, I get to meet two pals, Mich and Mel. I'm happy to have met them even though just for a while. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to capture any pictures of them both. I believe they'll surely be a NEXT TIME!

However, what drives me to post an entry today is because I've just received the stickers I've ordered days ago. I bought two different types of stickers. One which is spongy and another is woody. These two distinctives stickers are rarely found in the place where I live. If they have probably I didn't find them hard enough. Anyways, I'm eager to show them now.

A set of Five spongy stickers
What I like about this set is the puzzle-like designs and
their random graphic designs too.

This is with flash.

This set of three wooden stickers are the cutest.
I especially adore the giraffe (center).
Suitable for scrapbooking

Life has been calm or rather routine-like lately and that's probably the reason why I've nothing to blog about. However, me and my colleagues are going for a game or two of bowling. Hope to get some nice pictures with the geng.

It's time

It's time for me to start updating my blog again.
The reason why I didn't do so is because I just couldn't get over the sadness of being apart from my dad and sis AGAIN! I just don't like the airports anymore because it hurts me so. My tears would welled up my eyes and each time got worse!

Now that I'm ok, I'll continue to write again! =)

Current Snippets

I'll be back! pretty soon...
