Troubled & Worried

Last night was the day that I purchased the most number of stickers at a time and I had a great time selecting (I bought ALMOST each and everyone of it except of Tommy & Oscar's which I didn't quite like). I bought 21 pieces of stickers altogether *jumping with joy* which consist of Powerpuff girls, Garfield and McDonald's Farm sticker (classics). All these cost me only Rm 5, FIVE RINGGIT for all the 21 pieces. I guess there were having some clearance at the hall and I didn't bothered to notice where they are from. Besides stickers, I bought myself a pair of cute slippers. However, no pictures for the time being as my camera went battery dead again. I'll upload some of the pictures later.
Despite purchasing the things I like, I'm still troubled and worried. I'm not sure and haven't quite decided on what to wear for my convocation. Worst of all I have less than a week's time. Should I wear a formal blouse and skirts? or Should I wear a formal blouse and a pair of long pants? Should I be wearing black and white? What type of Heels should I wear? Covered? OMG so many to do yet I have not much time. Anyways, worst come to worst, I'll just grab whatever I have. It's just a day anyways.

Oh ya, yesterday I found a new member to add into my collection. This time, it is a living thing. Guess what? I found myself a cactus plant. I saw this cactus so pitiful as it was laying on the ground without any pots and only some soil surrounding its roots. Being a kind being *ceh* I brought it back and plant it in a pot. I hope it'll grow healthily. Talking about plants, when I was younger, I used to plant flowers. I remembered back in time when I went tuition and I always looked for flowers to plant after my t. I particularly love Portulaca because it is one of the easiest plant to grow and it looks very nice. All we need to do is, pluck a whole stem or if best from the root. If it is without the roots, immersed the plucked part into water and wait for roots to grow. When roots are visible, dig a hole and bury the root part. All this passion was put to a halt when I start seeing garden snails being lured around by my flowers. That's when I changed to potted plants which was mostly cactus. I chosed cactus because it's easy to manage.

Selamat Hari Merdeka Malaysia

Happy Independence Day to all Malaysians! Today is the day where back in the year of 1957, Malaysia declared its independence. I did not attend any countdowns as I expect jams to occur like the years before. I personally feel that this 51st National Day isn't as "hot" or intense as compare to years before. I don't see many cars carry the National flag, Jalur Gemilang nor many buildings display it. Some said probably it's due to the Olympics which diverted the nations' attention. Probably the current politic condition had also affected the nations' patriotism? Anyways, as long as we're living in a peaceful country, that's all that matters to me.

There are so many upcoming events and celebrations towards the end of the year. Firstly, today we're celebrating Malaysia's Indenpendence Day! Then, we'll have the "Bulan Ramadhan" (tomorrow starts?) when Muslims will fast for a month (weeee.... this means I'll be enjoying the Bazaar Ramadhan's food). I especially love caramel puddings and ayam perchik and kebabs and fried spicy spring roll and many more. On the other hand, the chinese will be celebrating the Mid-Autumn Moon Cake festival (14th September 2008) followed by Deepavali on the 28th of October. In the month of December, we'll be expecting "Hari Raya Qurban" (Feast of the Sacrifice), Christmas and "Awal Muharram" (Islamic New Year).

I'm most looking forward to Christmas. Since young, I've always loved Christmas. It's because it is an indication of the end of a current year and the entry into a new year. Besides that, during schooling years, year end (Christmas ) means we'll be having a long year-end-semester break. Also, I particularly loved Christmas because I like Christmas songs alot!! They are always joyful, merry and happy!! Then, the shopping malls will be fully decorated with colourful pretty Christmas ornaments. *Giggles* I can't wait for Christmas to come.

Pardon me, but I am feeling very Christmassy already *grins*

I have become a D-Addict

Recently, I've become a DRAMA ADDICT! What kind of drama? Hahaha, I couldn't believe it myself. It's Taiwanese drama. Let me explain that later. Anyways, I've been stucked at my monitor for days to complete the whole drama as fast as I can. Prior to this particular drama, I wasn't a fan of TAIWAN drama because I personally think that their movies are mostly sad love stories, alot of cryings, flashbacks and many more. Well, the drama I watched recently and which has successfully changed my stubborn opinion is actually "Bull Fighting / Hooping Dulcinea" (Dou Niu, Yao Bu Yao?). It's still on show on our local channel (?). At first, I didn't even bother watching it. However, as episodes by episodes were being shown I couldn't help but await patiently for the coming episodes. This was till my brother told me that he has a full episodes of it. That's when my addiction started and this explains the long pause I gave to my blog.

My first Taiwan drama was Meteor Garden (Season 1 and 2) (
Liu Xing Hua Yuan)
which I didn't actually watch the whole drama. I didn't want to get a mixture of feelings. This could be probably I'm a very very easily-emotionally-influenced type of person. When the story is sad, I get sad, when it's frustrating, I will get stressed-up and angry and when it's happy, I'll be happy. To be frank, even though it's already 2 days after I completed the drama, I'm still filled with thoughts of the starring(s) (Hebe & Mike He). I personally think the movie is touching. This is another reason why I never really like watching dramas.. I get too emotionally involved. Sad huh? Too much of drama really can affect me (?) *wonders*

I used to watch Korean drama as well but as I watched the 4th and 5th drama, I found that their storyline is about the same. They usually involve 1 man/2 women or 2 men/1 woman love story which saddens and frustrates me because I'm quite bias as I only support the actor/actress I like in a particular drama. I stopped watching such drama as I felt emotionally tired after a full series. One of the saddest Korean drama I've watched was Winter Sonata.

I realized Taiwan dramas show alot of flashbacks. So, there wouldn't be a problem if you've missed out the earlier episodes as there'll surely be showing flashbacks. This is an advantage to viewers however, to me, I find it a lil' irritating as I couldn't wait for the ending to come and they wouldn't stop wasting more time on repeating certain scenes. How frustrating when you can't wait to know the story more but they keep showing the previous scenes. *pif* Anyway, I guess I'm getting use to Taiwan drama and I wouldn't mind watching them *grins*

Death Race (movie)

Death Race

This is the movie I watched last night and it was so cool. Starring Jason Statham whom is also the leading actor in movies such as Transporter I and II, The Bank Job and Pink Panther. Besides Jason, there are also Tyrese Gibson (2 Fast 2 Furious & Four Brothers) and Natalie Martinez. There are some violence (rated 18SG) in the movie and a little bit of excitement during the races. There's a scene where they showed how a man died which I thought it was quite real. :) I do like this kind of movie. Besides this, I also like horror and thriller and sometimes comedy and romance movie. I don't want to spoil the movie by commenting it before anybody watches it since it was released just yesterday (21st August 2008). Do check it out!

Manage to snap a photo with Wall-E:

I'm in an awkward position because I think I'm sitting on cardboards. I wasn't quite prepared when this shot was taken. Anyway, beside me is Wall-E and a visible hand of Eva.

The Environment and Surroundings are our Reflections

The environment and surroundings I'm referring here includes everything, the natural environment, our friends, families, strangers, animals and etc etc (living & non-living). I've read a blog and it gives me this thought, the environment and surroundings are our reflections. Why do I say so? I do have my reasoning. Anyway, this is just my opinion and how I see life as it is.

We, as human plays an important role in the most of the events that has happened and yet to happen. Let's talk about the natural environment first. We dirty/pollute the nature, we see and feel the effect of it. We have to suffer what we have inflicted into the world. I do not have to further elaborate this as it's well known to all of us by now.

Humans, every single one of us, we breathe, we think, we feel, we see/touch/scent/hear and etc. However, we sometimes tends to think for ourselves more than others in another word, selfish. Of course there are exceptions. For example, parents do think for their child(s) more than anything. Anyway, what I'm trying to talk about is what we do, how we think and how we treat people will be reflected by another's reaction towards yourself.

Ever wonder why such events occur on you? Ever wonder why a person treats you in such a way that is different? Most of the time, IMO, probably it is something you have done or is doing to a person that makes him/her treats you so. There are many types of people in this world. Some are so nice and generous, some are demanding and selfish. It all depends on how you tolerate with a person to maintain a relation (I don't mean love only).

Certain people takes one event to make him/her-self to realize her own problem/mistake. However, there are people who is stubborn enough to not accept the fact and some not exactly knowing it. I, for one, is far from perfect, don't like to know my own problem and mistakes. I can be ignorant. I don't like to know my faults and I don't like to be dislike by friends/families. I am trying my best to improve every day and every second.

I still live by my principle, No One Is Perfect. Thus, I can't discriminate others, I can't look down on others, I must tolerate with others as much as I can, I have to be humble (knowing I'm not perfect) and not too humble till I am negative in life.

It's easier said than done. People, I believe, do realize the things I'm talking about now.. even way earlier than I do. If there are more tolerable people this world, it could be a better place to be in. Do not be too negative in life as it may affect people around you. Listen to people around you and you wouldn't know these people may be the one to help you and guide you towards a better life.

When you're down, when you're sad, when you're depressed, when you're unfortunate, stop and think, there are actually more unfortunate people around you. It's how you look at life and the way you look at life could actually change your perspective in life.

I always think this song is a meaningful song, especially when we/someone is down, this song can come in handy:

No pain, No gain

I have been sooo tired and it's because for the past few days, I have been to few places on different occasions. On Sunday, I was in Pavilion in the late evening, followed by IKEA (Ikano, Cineleisure and the Curve too) on Tuesdays and Midvalley as well as KLCC on Wednesday.

Start of with Pavilion, I had dinner and then went shopping a while before I witness Lee Chong Wei being defeated by Lin Dan right in front of Red Box where their TV was showing the match. I manage to buy a necklace with a 20% discount which I think it's something sweet and sophisticated. *Lol* another necklace to add into my accessories collection.

The necklace I bought

I have this (bad) habit of collecting things when I start to like them. Let me explain further on what I meant by 'COLLECTING' (in my terms). *Grins* For example, my stickers, I love them to death and I'm willing to spend a lot on them just so I can see my box filled with stickers even though knowing they have no benefit/use to me. I get the thrill and satisfaction seeing my collection(s) growing larger. There was a period of time when I love earrings and my earrings increased in numbers. Same goes to attires, bags, footwear, boxes etc, etc and now necklace I guess I'm into necklaces. That explains why my room packed with items. I sure hope in future, I would love money and start collecting them..bah!

As on Tuesday, I went to IKEA with my 2 pals, Sonia and Marcus. We were there since 11.45am up till 6pm. It has been quite some time ever since we hung out together like this. Unfortunately, this time, T.H. Quek wasn't able to join us. Anyway, we still had fun. I always enjoyed my friend's company, especially with old friends where we always talk back on our past to have a good laugh and this particular girl is always our victim (Sonia, Marcus, I bet you know who I'm referring to). Being with them helped me release my unhappiness too but they have to lend me their ears and may suffer so that I could nag and nag on my frustrations. This time, I manage to see Judy and even hold it. She's the most fragile pet I've ever come across; so timid, so light, so obedient and soooooooo cute!!!
Here are some pictures of us trying to post with Judy:

Judy with her food (given by her papa a.k.a Marcus; held by her papa also)

Posting for the camera

Judy being lectured by her papa

Sonia fondling Judy

We weren't kissing!

Judy trying to climb into my bag thinking that's her pouch

Judy trying to enter my bag, psst... probably she likes me more *GRINS*

Trying to smuggle her back my home. She's adorable and ticklish too
Marcus trying to help me get her to post for the camera

Sonia and I bought a bag each after asking for Marcus's opinion. In fact, we had more items in mind but it's better to save especially now that I haven't get a job yet. I went home with a happy heart and sore calves *smiles*

Casual bag for casual outings.

Then yesterday, I went to Midvalley and KLCC with Dave's mom since I was free. I got a good deal. Since my wallet is tearing apart, I got this Carlo Rino wallet for only Rm39; no defects, no stains or whatsoever.

My new wallet

From these outings, I got tired and I spent money but then I get to buy great stuffs at good deals, get to see my friends and I was happy. :) I even got some free samples of Tommy Girl and DKNY perfume. I assume this week, the shopping malls will be crowded because it's school holiday for a week now! So guys, do plan your outings well to avoid jams and also to avoid going million rounds just for a parking.

Bravo to our badminton player Lee Chong Wei

It is quite a waste that Lee Chong Wei didn't manage a gold. Nevertheless, he got a silver in the badminton men's single event in this Beijing 2008 Olympic. For the past two Olympics (Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004), Malaysia scored nothing. Malaysia has been returning home without any medals but this time around, we have at least a silver. It breaks my heart to witness the game knowing that the gold was furthering away from Malaysia. However, as a consolation, we now have a silver which is better than nothing. :) Heartiest congratulations to our Malaysian badminton player! Good job to all those who had also participated in the various events/games.

Speaking of Olympics, I still don't know why bowling is not included into the Olympic games. It's so sad to see our squash players (especially Nicole David) and our Malaysian bowlers unable to participate in this Olympics knowing that they have chance and hope in achieving good results and may come home with medals. I was curious to find out why bowling isn't in the Olympics so I surf the net a lil' and here are some sites that I found regarding on this issue:
1) http://www.cleveland.com/olympics/index.ssf/2008/08/well_knock_me_down_theres_no_o.html
2) http://www.bowl.com/articleView.aspx?i=12344&f=1
3) http://olympics.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/06/18/david-wallechinsky-gives-his-answers-to-readers-questions-part-ii/ (there is a small part on "why isn't bowling in the summer Olympics")
Is it due to lack of spectators? lack of players? lack of sponsors? lack of participating countries? Bowling is not the only game questioned, there are baseball and softball too.

It's been a tiring day for me because I've spent hours facing the computer on some ONLINE GAMES. :)
Ciao for now~~!!
